93pts Wine Spectator

Vivacious and fresh, this white shows detailed lemon, nectarine, spice and stony mineral tones that gather steely acidity and tension on the finish.

92pts James Suckling

Sweet spice, resinous herb, generous caramel and vanilla flavors balanced by crisp green apple and lime flavors for a well-rounded, pleasing and structured medium-bodied wine. The finish is long, with lingering flavors of pastry and baked stone fruit.

Tasting Notes

Picture a sun-dappled vineyard on a breezy hillside, where cool Pacific air meets the bright fruit of the Eola–Amity Hills. That sets the stage for our 2024 Roserock Chardonnay. Aromas of pear, citrus blossom, and white peach open to notes of honeyed nectarine, crushed seashell, and a hint of cream. The palate is pure and vibrant, layered with lime and yuzu, leading to a long, elegant finish.

Winemaker Notes

Our Roserock Chardonnay brings together the estate’s three Chardonnay blocks, which are handpicked and sorted. The Chardonnay is pressed immediately, and sent in equal parts to tank and barrel. Once malolactic fermentation is complete, Véronique assembles the two portions into her final cuvée.

Fresh and complex, our 2023 Roserock Chardonnay reflects the vibrant character of our Eola-Amity Hills vineyard. Bursting with aromas of crisp green apple, honeysuckle, gardenia, and lemon zest, the wine unfolds on the palate with a generous roundness and refreshing citrus, ginger, and whisps of nutty crème. Its precise acidity and stony minerality provide a delightful balance, mixing energy with elegance. This wine is delicious now and will evolve happily over the next 7-10 years.

Winery Notes

Drouhin Oregon Roserock is the newest chapter in the Drouhin story, extending from Burgundy's Cote d’Or and Chablis, to the Dundee Hills of Oregon, and now Oregon's Eola-Amity Hills.

Drouhin Oregon Roserock continues a four-generation story that began in 1880 when Joseph Drouhin moved from Chablis to Beaune, in the heart of Burgundy. In Oregon, as in Burgundy, the Drouhin Family farms singular, expressive parcels of land. The Roserock Vineyard sits at the southern tip of the Eola-Amity Hills, in Oregon's Willamette Valley and is marked by volcanic soils, cooler temperatures and an ideal elevation range. Farmed by Phillipe Drouhin, Roserock is certified sustainable
